I’m normally not one for bottled sauces, but I’m always on the lookout for new healthy ones “just in case.” I tend towards choosing organic versions, because their ingredients are more in line with the ingredients I use. Seeds of Change does a whole range of sauces that have gone down a treat.
For a quick Saturday lunch, add the roasted garlic, tomato and chilli sauce to freshly-boiled wholewheat linguine. No need to add anything else. (Except a glass of Chianti perhaps.)
I think it’s good to keep one of these jars in the cupboard for emergencies – it’s a slightly upmarket option to a tin of herby chopped tomatoes.
